Thank you so much for taking the time to give these helpful suggestions. I will make sure to align myself and my strategies with all of them.

Aaron Morris - makes good and now feels the need to degrade everyone who is not self-employed. FYI - I am self-employed but certainly don't lecture those who have not gone this route; some people like just being an employee!

Great article. You are specific as to what you want and gave out some helpful hints. By the way, you can go to NitroPDF for free and convert documents from word to pdf. You have to do what you have to do in this market to get a job. If you can't follow instructions, then you have no business being a paralegal.

Good for you John, you found the way. But if you think I'm degrading anyone you miss the point. My day is spent talking to clients that thought they were safe working for someone else and now don't know how they are going to survive the next few months, so I've become a zealot about controlling one's own destiny. I think the best way to avoid that scenario is to always be moving toward self-employment. I jokingly say you should start your first business out of your college dorm room, but don't be so literal. I've had the life sucking jobs and have no beef with people who are employed by others, but I really want them to view that as a temporary condition on the way to self-employment and self-determination. The fact that "some people like just being an employee" does not mean it is the best choice, as evidenced by the current unemployment numbers.

Thanks for that PDF information and the kind words, Debbie.
